Is it really safe to send my credit card/payment information over the internet?

Our payment service uses 256 bit SSL (secure socket layer) encryption. This is the STRONGEST and safest type of encryption currently available for the Web.

How can I confirm that a payment has been made?

After a payment is processed, you will be taken to a confirmation screen that will let you know if your payment was processed successfully or if there was a problem processing your payment. You should also receive an email confirmation with a receipt for your payment. If you are still uncertain that your payment was processed successfully, feel free to call our office to confirm your payment was received.

How long does it take my online payment to go through?

Payment processing may take 1-2 business days. For example, a payment made after closing time Friday may not be processed until the following Tuesday. To avoid late fees or disruption of service, submit payments at least 2 business days prior to the delinquent date or cutoff date. If this is not possible, we encourage you to make your payment in person to ensure timely credit to your account.

When I try to use Online Bill Pay, my computer automatically redirects me to the login screen. Why is this occurring?

Your browser may not support Javascript or it may have Javascript features turned off. If JavaScript is disabled in your browser, certain functions like Online Bill Pay will not work correctly.

The "History" and "View Bill Details" links within my "Account Profile" do not seem to work. Why?

If a large number of customers are accessing their account information simultaneously, you may receive a "time out" error when trying to access your account information. This is especially true if you are using a dial-up internet service. If you receive a "time out" error, try clicking "Refresh" on your browser. If the problem persists, please contact our office.

I made a payment at your office. Why isn't it showing up in my history when I check online?

Payments made at the office take 1-2 business days to appear online.

Can I make a partial payment or pay more than the total amount due?

Yes, simply type in the amount you wish to pay and your account balance will adjust accordingly; however, a partial payment will not keep your account from being disconnected. If you have multiple accounts associated with your login, any overpayment will payoff the first account associated with your login. Any remaining amount will be split evenly between any other accounts. If you wish to make an overpayment on only one account, use the checkboxes to select only that one account.

If I sign up online, will I continue to receive my bill by mail?

Yes.

What if I forget my password?

Below the account log-in screen there is a "Forgot your password?" link. Click on it and follow the steps for help. You will be assigned a new random password via email. Once you log back in to your account you can change your password.

What do I have to do to access my utility bills online?

Accessing your account is as simple as creating an online account. To create an online account, you must register yourself on our website. During this registration, you will be asked to create a username and password that will allow you access to your utility bills.

What if I'm having trouble signing into my online account?

If you have trouble signing in, for whatever reason, you can always sign up for another online account by following the "New users, sign up now" link on the login screen. You'll have to choose a new username, but you can sign up with the same email address an unlimited number of times.
